Social media users are obsessed with two types of posts — selfies and collages. The latter are great when you can't choose one good photo from several and want to show them all at once. It's also a good way to sum up the day — post a collage of photos taken during the day.
Sure, you can use an online photo editor like Fotojet, Fotor, and Adobe Photoshop, but it will take a lot of time. You will have to add borders and effects to each photo so that they all match the same style. Adjusting the sizes will also take a lot of time. If you want to avoid this headache, just install one of the following apps on your phone. Any of them will create a stunning collage for free in a couple of clicks.
Layout
If you don't need a whole bunch of tools in a photo editor, then I suggest you pay attention to Layout. This is a simple and fast application with only the most necessary. Select a photo from the gallery and transfer it to any of the 16 available templates. There is also a very useful Faces tab, which allows you to automatically search for photos with people's faces. But it does not work perfectly.
The app has popular filters and editing tools, as in the popular social network, and when you finish working with a photo, you can share it on social networks or export it to the gallery with one click. If you need a simple photo editor without additional functionality, then this is a good option.
Layout is available for Android And iOS.
Unfold
Unfold was created by renowned architect Alphonse Cobo after he despaired of finding a suitable app to create a photo portfolio for an exhibition. With the help of entrepreneur Andy McCune, he created his own app.
In January 2018, a project called Unfold was launched, which immediately attracted a lot of attention. Google named this application one of the best of the past year, and Apple did the same in 2019. Despite the almost complete lack of an advertising campaign, Unfold managed to win the support of many media personalities.
Unfold has an impressive library of 400 filters, backgrounds, fonts, stickers and templates, from the simplest to the downright eccentric. You can create a short bio link with your own design for free and even add music from the Epidemic Sound library (many bloggers get their music from it). Although the download is free, you will still have to purchase a subscription to access the full set of tools.
The paid Plus plan for 229 rubles per month includes hundreds of templates for social networks, unique fonts, stickers, filters and effects. You can plan your posting schedule in advance, write a description and insert hashtags (you will need to link your account to do this).
In the Pro tariff plan for 599 rubles per month (or 4500 rubles if paid annually), you can add your own fonts, logos and colors. This option is perfect for SMM, when you need to maintain a uniform corporate style.
Unfold is available for Android And iOS.
PicCollage
PicCollage has all the necessary tools for creating collages: ornamental backgrounds, fonts, stickers and stylized feathers. You can add both images and gifs to the project, including directly from the Internet, and also apply animation. The selected template can be changed "on the fly".
Compared to its competitors, PicCollage has the widest functionality without the need for a paid subscription. But if you wish, you can pay for the Premium tariff for 449 rubles per month and you will have access to additional functionality, and this will also allow you to save the resulting collages without a watermark.
PicCollage is available for Android And iOS.
MOLDIV
JellyBus Inc. is a mobile media company that has been developing powerful yet easy-to-use photo and video apps since 2009, so it would be strange not to include their universal editor MOLDIV in today's list.
MOLDIV has a lot to offer: a choice of 400 collage templates, 186 filters and textures, 300 fonts, 560 stickers, 92 background patterns and an impressive arsenal of professional tools. And on top of everything else, there is the ability to record video with filters applied in real time and add stickers after the shooting is finished.
Maybe I didn't notice it in others, but only in this application I was able to select a specific folder in the "Gallery" of the smartphone with already prepared pictures, and not search for them among all-all photos. Another thing that I especially liked is the ability to change the size of the collage by simply dragging along the edges. That is, the template itself is saved, but it can be stretched in height. An example can be seen in the 2nd and 3rd screenshots. I have not seen this anywhere.

Canva
In January 2012, Melanie Perkins made a splash in the graphic design world by founding Canva, a platform that allows the average user to create professional design projects. The numbers speak for themselves: in the first year alone, the app attracted 750,000 users thanks to Canva's extensive functionality.
Although the browser version of the editor is still the most popular among users, the mobile app should not be discounted either. In it, you can design "literally everything" and photo collages as well.
Click the Photo Collage button to choose whether to start your project from a blank canvas or use one of 60,000 templates. Canva lets you create and edit photos, videos, logos, posters, and more in seconds. The Color Picker and Photo Colors features let you automatically create a color palette from any photo.
Free registration is required to use the service, and for additional features and even more beautiful templates, a subscription will be required for $13 per month.
